The solemn ceremony of closing of the Days of Culture of Iran in Turkmenistan that provided the people of Turkmenistan with an opportunity to learn more about the modern art of the fraternal country took place at the Exhibition Hall of the State Academy of Arts.
Participation of Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance of the Islamic Republic of Iran Dr. Seyed Mohammad Hossini, who was received by the President of Turkmenistan, in this cultural event attached special status to the Days of Culture of Iran in Turkmenistan. During the meeting the Turkmen leader underlined the significance of humanitarian contacts in developing good-neighbourly and friendly relations between the two countries.
Numerous citizens of Ashgabat and guests to the Turkmen capital visited the exposition of fine, decorative and applied art of Iran showcasing the rich diversity of talents and creative searches at the Exhibition Hall of the State Academy of Arts of Turkmenistan.
Looking at the skilful works created by Iranian calligraphists, miniaturists, engravers, carpet weavers and dunters, who harmoniously combine fantasy with reality, it is not possible not to admire their skills, diligence and subtle sense of beautiful.
The beauty and creativity under the protection of spirituality are, probably, the essential feature of the Iranian culture that was reflected in literature and music, performing arts and cinematography that was proved by the film festival taken place in the Turkmenistan Cinema and Concert Center.
A bright musical show arranged at the Watan Cinema and Concert Center with participation of Turkmen and Iranian artists turned into a real holiday of friendship of the two fraternal peoples. Along with famous Iranian singers, Turkmen popular artists, bagshis and famous dance and folklore groups Galkynysh and Serdara Serpay took part in the concert.
Popular Iranian artists performed stirring improvisations of old destans and ancient lyric songs. The spectators got added evidence of how close are the cultural roots of our people, how consonant our songs and our relations are filled with sincere friendship.
