President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov chaired a meeting of the cabinet of Ministers. The important state policy issues, the progress of work of the key industries and departments, and drafts of important documents were considered during a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers.
The President of Turkmenistan appointed Seitmyrat Taganov Minister of Water Industry of Turkmenistan.
The Vice Premiers reported on the existing situation in the sectors under their supervision. In particular, the reports on the progress of introducing electronic document management system, establishing a modern legislative basis, the results of the state visit to Ukraine held this week as well as preparation for International conference “Refugees without citizenship in the Muslim world” were presented during the meeting.
The Vice Premiers highlighted the issues related to continuation of works on construction of drainage and communication tunnel in Ashgabat, preparations for the National holiday of spring – Novruz Bayramy, the existing situation in the financial and banking spheres, preparations for the spring cotton sowing campaign and other season agricultural works.
The high ranking officials discussed the issues regarding implementation of social policy, development of science, education, healthcare, sports and tourism, as well as preparation for the celebrations in honor of the 290th anniversary of the great Turkmen thinker and poet Magtymguly Fragi and the exhibition and conference on occasion of the fourth anniversary of establishing the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan in Ashgabat. The results of the International conference “Turkmenistan-Europe: prospects for cooperation” held in the capital of the Federal Republic of Germany, Berlin on March 14-15, the existing situation of the project on construction of the North-South steel main line as well as the issues addressing the struggle against illegal drug and medicinal agents trade were considered during the meeting.
President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov signed the Resolutions regarding improvement of the structure of the Ministry of Labor and Social Defense of Turkmenistan; purchase of spare parts, wheels, lubricating oils and active storage for combine harvester; celebrations in honor of the 290th anniversary of Magtymguly Fragi; the document on continuation of construction of drainage and communication tunnel in Ashgabat. The decision on carrying out the building and assembly jobs on a section of the North-South steel main line was adopted during the meeting.
The other important state policy issues were considered and the decisions were adopted during the government meeting.
