President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov made a working trip round the Turkmen capital to see the progress of construction and considered the new construction projects.
The Turkmen leader headed to the intersection of the Chandybil Avenue and Andalib Street, where Vice Premier A. Yegeleyev, Ashgabat Khyakim Sh. Durdylyev as well as a representative of the Polimeks Turkish Construction Company greeted the President of Turkmenistan and demonstrated new construction projects to the Turkmen leader.
In particular, draft projects of new large memorial complex that would include the monuments in commemoration of Turkmen soldiers who died a hero's death in the struggle against fascism during the Great Patriotic War, and victims of the damaging earthquake in Ashgabat in 1948 that took many lives, were presented to the Turkmen leader for consideration there.
Commenting on the projects, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov provided specific proposals and recommendations on the architectural design and improvement of the complex.
The President of Turkmenistan considered the draft projects of a new park to be laid in the southern part of the Turkmen capital, along the Archabil Avenue, between the magnificent Monument of Constitution and new Ashgabat Center of Culture and Recreation.
Giving specific instructions to the relevant officials in this regard, the Turkmen leader underlined that new recreation complexes created in Ashgabat should not only adorn the white-marble capital of our country, but should become a favorite place for recreation for many citizens of Ashgabat and guests to the Turkmen capital as well. The President of Turkmenistan noted that it would be reasonable to give the name of Alem to this Center of Culture and Recreation.
Also, the Turkmen leader considered the layout of construction sites of new motor highways, bridges, overpasses and interchanges to be built in Ashgabat and Ahal Velayat as well as the project of a new road leading to the new five-star hotel under construction in the southern part of the Turkmen capital.
In conclusion, the Turkmen leader came up to the road bridge constructed at the intersection of the Chandybil Avenue and Andalib Street to view the panorama of Ashgabat and its newly-constructed buildings. Dwelling upon the issues of further construction and development of the main city of the country, the President of Turkmenistan provided specific instructions to the relevant high-ranking officials in this regard.
