President of Turkmenistan conducts video conference

President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov conducted a video conference with the cabinet ministers, the heads of ministries and departments and the khyakims of velayats.

The video conference agenda focused on the social and economic issues, including the seasonal agricultural activities, preparations for important events of the international, internal, regional and sectoral levels. Particular attention was paid to the Health of Week and Happiness started in Turkmenistan to mark the World Health Day widely celebrated all around the world on April 7.

The Vice Premiers reported on the fulfillment of the Turkmen leader’s instructions and the work carried out in the sectors under their supervision. In particular, it was reported on the preparations for the ceremonies of opening of the complex of new buildings of the National Institute of Tourism and Sport of Turkmenistan and the Olympic School built in the Turkmen capital near the Olympic village. The Turkmen leader was informed on the program of cultural events to mark the national holidays celebrated in April as well as within the Week of Health and Happiness.

The Vice Premiers also reported on development of investment funds with the aim of complex development of all branches of the national economy, as well as the work plan on fundamental social changes in the regions, the programme for developing international cooperation in the sphere of trade and services and preparations for participation in the EXPO-2012 Works Exhibition to be held in Yeosu, Korea.

The State News Agency of Turkmenistan (TDH) reported that the issues put on the agenda of the video conference included preparations for the grain harvesting campaign. The Turkmen leader gave specific instructions to the relevant officials to ensure the proper organization of this important campaign at all levels, the well thought-out distribution of material and technical resources, and the preparation of combines and other agricultural equipment, and enterprises for receiving, keeping and processing grain

In this regard, Vice Premier A. Yazmyradov reported on the progress of the seasonal agricultural activities in the country, including the paces of the cotton sowing campaign, condition of winter crops and the works on preparation of agricultural equipment for harvesting campaign. The Vice Premier also reported on the existing situation in the cattle breeding industry as well as the progress of construction of enterprises and other objects of the agro-industrial complex.

The velayat khyakims reported on the progress of seasonal agricultural activities, including the paces of the cotton sowing campaign and care of winter crops.

Dwelling upon the issues of the preparations for children’s summer holidays, the President of Turkmenistan paid particular attention to the potential of the recreation zone on the Caspian Coast, where comfortable children’s health-improving centers were built. Instructing the Balkan Velayat Khyakim to ensure the readiness of the sea resort to receive holiday-makers, the Turkmen leader instructed the velayat khyakims to prepare the children’s health-improving centers for summer holidays.

Summing up the conversation, the President of Turkmenistan underlined that the meeting participants’ personal responsible approach to the sectors under their supervision, and the congruence of work of all structures would promote the efficiency of fundamental changes taken place throughout the country with the aim to ensure the further prosperity of our independent Motherland, and wellbeing of the Turkmen people.
