The ceremony of opening of the Days of Culture of the Republic of Belarus in Turkmenistan took place in the Turkmen capital. This large-scale cultural action is held in our country in line with the agreements achieved during the meeting of President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko.
The cultural event is a continuation of the dialogue between the masters of art of the two countries launched within the framework of the Days of Culture of Turkmenistan in the Republic of Belarus, in June 2010, where the creative delegation of Turkmenistan set the worm friendly tone for humanitarian cooperation. The Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan and the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Belarus organized the action.
A representative delegation led by the First Deputy Minister of Culture of the Republic of Belarus arrived in the Turkmen capital to take part in the cultural event that will last till April 6. The delegation includes popular artistic groups, famous musicians as well as representatives of a largest museum of the friendly country and the Belarus telegraph agency (Belta).
The solemn ceremony of opening the Days of Culture of the Republic of Belarus in Turkmenistan brought together the heads of the sphere of culture, representatives of the diplomatic missions accredited in Turkmenistan, journalists, workers of culture and art, and local youth at the Palace of Mukams of the National Cultural Center of Turkmenistan. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to Turkmenistan Enver Bariev addressed the participants and guests of the cultural event.
Upon completion of the solemn ceremony of opening the event, a big concert was performed. The concert programme included national melodies and dances, popular songs, and the hits of the seventies and eighties performed by artists of the Svyata Belarus State Group of Folk Music, Chistiy Golos Vocal Group as well as People’s Artists of the Republic of Belarus Yadviga Poplavskaya and Alexander Tihonovich.
Within the framework of the cultural action the exposition of the exhibits of the Belarus State Museum of the History of the Great Patriotic War and the photo exhibition dedicated to the history of development of the Belarus-Turkmen relations prepared by the Belarus Telegraph Agency have been arranged at the Museum of Fine Arts of Turkmenistan. Belarus artists have performed one more concert at the Turkmenistan Cinema and Concert Center. Belarus children’s, animation and documentary films will be demonstrated within the framework of the Days of Culture of Belarus in Turkmenistan.
