Turkmen citizens strengthen the basis of sports of high achievements

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov attended ceremonies of opening of new sports facilities, including the new building of the National Institute of Tourism and Sports, the Olympic School and chaired the sitting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan.

It is noteworthy that the architectural premiers took place on the eve of the World Health Day. As is known, the Week of Health and Happiness held in Turkmenistan is dedicated to this wonderful holiday.

The new building of the National Institute of Sports and Tourism of Turkmenistan designed for 1,600 students was built on a central avenue of the Turkmen capital. The new School that will train young talents and future masters and champions in various sports, including winter sports was erected close to the Institute.

The President of Turkmenistan headed to the central entrance to the main building of the institute and cut the ribbon to the storm of applause of ceremony participants and guests. The Turkmen leader entered into the building and headed to the conference room, where the President of Turkmenistan chaired the sitting of the Cabinet of Ministers to consider the priority issues for further development of the national sport and define the key tasks set in this important area. The heads of sports organizations, famous master of sports and coaches, university rectors and professors, heads of the local media took part in the meeting.

The Turkmen leader instructed Vice Premier S.Toylyev to draft the National Programme on training high-class sportsmen for 3-5 years with the aim to develop physical culture and Olympic movement in the country and to submit the programme for consideration to the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan.

The President of Turkmenistan instructed the Vice Premiers, the heads of ministries and sectoral departments to take all necessary measures to develop motoring and cycle racing, archery, fencing, water sports, including - rowing, as well as other Olympic and international sports in the country.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov instructed Vice Premiers S.Toylyev and A.Egeleev to solve the issues related to construction of the Olympic Centre for training national teams, including those who will participate in the 2017Asian Games.

The Turkmen leader noted that new facilities supplied with modern technical and sports equipment should be in Ashgabat and velayat centers. In particular, the Sports School of Turkmenistan and specialized chess and checkers school will be built in the Turkmen capital, and the weightlifting sports schools will be opened in Dashoguz, Mary and Balkan velayats. It was also underlined the necessity to build indoor facilities to host competitions in athletics and cycling in velayat centers and in Ashgabat.

Vice Premier S.Toylyev was instructed to open the special department to improve the skills of coaches using the most advanced practice of foreign experts at the National Institute of Sports and Tourism, as well as to organize education and training of coaches in prestigious international sports schools.

Specific instructions were given to Vice Premiers regarding the development of an effective system of material encouragement for athletes who win first places of the prestigious international competitions, as well as the Resolution allowing the masters of sports and qualified coaches to practice sports on a contract basis.

Then, the Turkmen leader focused on the issues regarding improvement of the quality medical services provided to local population that are closely related with increasing the level of the people’s health. President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov signed the Resolution "On construction of new buildings of the Hospital with the scientific and clinical cardiology center of the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan" designed for 350 patients.

In line with the Resolution signed by the President of Turkmenistan a new Emergency Medical Aid Center designed for 200 places as well as a garage for 230 ambulance cars and other vehicles will be built in Ashgabat. The centers designed for 30 places supplied with the most advanced medical equipment will be built in Balkan, Dashoguz, Lebap and Mary Velayats.

Then the President of Turkmenistan issued the Decree, according to which 16 high-speed sports cars would be granted to the State Committee for Tourism and Sports.

In conclusion of the meeting the President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov wrote an entry to the Book of Guests of Honour of the National Institute of Sports and Tourism to commemorate the event.

Then President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received Director General of the Bouygues Company Martin Bouygues. The Head of the French company presented the new projects drafted by Bouygues specialists to Turkmen leader for consideration. Getting acquainted with the projects, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov gave specific instructions to the authors of the projects.

Then the Turkmen leader visited the new institute, where all necessary conditions for teaching students and training specialists were created. The complex of the university consists of several buildings, including 12-storey main building and two four-storey educational blocks. There are spacious classrooms, laboratories, library, conference hall for 375 seats, and other necessary facilities, including medical room supplied with the most advanced equipment. Students will practice sports at the three-story multi-sectoral sport complex and outdoor sports facilities. The university administration office is located in the main building.

There is a hostel with cozy apartment and guest rooms designed for 400 students on the territory of the institute. The technical block of the Institute is supplied with the life support system.

Once again congratulating the ceremony participants on the opening of the new building of the institute the President of Turkmenistan left the institute and walked to another newly constructed building - the Olympic School. At the request of students, the Turkmen leader cut the symbolic ribbon opening the school.

Accompanied by schoolchildren, the President of Turkmenistan entered into the four-story educational building that hosts spacious classrooms and laboratories, computer, video and reading rooms supplied with the most advanced equipment. Students will practice sports in gyms supplied with all necessary sports equipment and a swimming pool. There are also multi-functional gym and a fitness center in the school. The conference hall of the School is designed for 180 students. There is also a medical department in the school. Highly-qualified doctors will take care of the health of students. A comfortable hostel designed for 300 students is built there for future champions.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov wrote an entry to the Book of Guests of Honour.

The Turkmen leader granted 10 high-speed sports racing cars to the National Motor Sports Centre of Turkmenistan.

Bidding farewell to ceremony participants and once again congratulating all of them on opening of the new buildings of the National Institute of Sports and Tourism and the Olympic School as well as the forthcoming holiday – the World Health Day, the President of Turkmenistan left the venue.
