The American dance performance by the Sean Curran's Dance Company in Ashgabat has become a significant contribution to the dynamically developing Turkmen-American dialogue in the humanitarian sphere.

The American dance group has visited Turkmenistan within of the regional cultural tour organized by the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA) of the United States Department of State within the framework of the Dance Motion programme coordinated by the Brooklyn Academy of Music. The group was chosen as a US cultural envoy with the aim to demonstrate and exchange experience in the sphere of development of the modern art of dance and to promote the dialogue of cultures between the two peoples.

The visit programme provided the American guests with an opportunity to demonstrate their mastership and to learn more about the national art of dance of our country. Thus, the American artists met with the workers of culture and art of Turkmenistan, the students of the Turkmen State Institute of Culture and Ashgabat dance groups, gave master classes and conducted workshops.

The Sean Curran's Dance Company completed its visit to Turkmenistan with a concert at the Palace of Mukams of the National Cultural Center of Turkmenistan on April 12.

The Sean Curran's Dance Company is a popular dance group America that performs on tours in US and other world countries within the last fifteen days. The original style created by the group represents a mix of a classical ballet with modern dance trends. The group also includes the elements of ethnic dances into their dance compositions. Thus, the movements of the traditional Irish, Balinese and Indonesian dances are traced in the dance performances by Sean Curran. Each dance of the group is a small life history revealing to audience in movements and gestures. Along with it, they are enriched with various musical and lighting special effects that together with the high professionalism of the group participants create a wonderful spectacular performance on a stage.

The group artists master the dance art of various peoples of the world with great enthusiasm and have made no secret of the fact that soon their compositions will include the elements of the Turkmen national dances and the sunny mood casted over by a cordial meeting on the Turkmen land.
