Handicraft - her calling

Works of art created by the talent of our ancestors and reflecting national spiritual values are an inseparable part of the world cultural heritage. The cultural heritage of the Turkmen people is distinguished by its diversity and uniqueness. It is quite natural that there is a desire to study and create such beauty yourself. The power of art lies in the fact that it should be understandable to everyone, regardless of nationality. Perhaps for this reason, Vera Milosevic became interested in Turkmen national art.

She developed a passion for drawing while studying at secondary school No. 26 in the city of Turkmenabat. The first talent in her was recognized by the art teacher Nikolai Vasilyevich, whom Vera remembers with gratitude.

On the advice of her parents, Vera enters and graduates first from primary, and then from secondary vocational school with a degree in accounting. Then she receives a job assignment at the chemical enterprise of the State Concern "Türkmenhimiýa" in the city of Turkmenabat.

When she gets acquainted with the territory of the plant, she learns that there is a workshop for ceramic products and expresses a desire to work there. Seeing her drawings, the leadership of the enterprise immediately hired Vera to work in this workshop.

With great enthusiasm, she begins to work and gradually comprehends the basics of the craft. Experienced specialist, Narzulla Kadyrov, who, despite his retirement age, works tirelessly and shares his experience with young people, helps her in this.

Years pass and Vera Milosevic becomes a specialist in the field of national art. Her pottery, made of ordinary clay, today adorn museums, exhibitions, respectable offices, kindergartens, schools... Vera's works are very popular and highly appreciated at various exhibitions.
