President of Turkmenistan makes a working trip to Balkan Velayat

President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov makes a working trip to Balkan Velayat where he takes part in the yovar, nationwide planting campaign in the Avaza National tourist zone.

In the afternoon the President’s plane landed at the international airport in Turkmenbashi town. At the request of Chairman of the Turkmenhowayollary State National Service M. Ayazov, the Turkmen leader examined the new Challenger-870 passenger aircraft produced by the Bombardier Company (Canada) that replenished the fleet of Turkmen aviators at the end of March.

As is known, the national flotilla of Turkmenistan is regularly replenished with the most advanced airplanes produced by the world leading manufacturers. Within the last years, new Boeing airplanes and equipment of other world-known brands that have proved themselves under the local conditions were purchased.

Speaking about the qualities of the new aircraft, it should be noted that Challenger-870 has spacious cabin and improved landing mechanism that ensures the comfort for passengers.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov underlined that Turkmenistan would purchase the most advanced airplanes to serve the internal lines as well as promote widening the geography of regular international passenger traffic, including freight air transportation.

The international airport in Turkmenbashi town is to be an important transit point at the intercontinental air routes, and the air gates to the Avaza National tourist zone. Many foreign air carriers have requested to include the airport of the littoral city into their routes as a most efficient transit point between the Europe Asia.

Speaking about the prospects for developing the national civil aviation, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted that creation of new modern airport in Ashgabat supplied with the most advanced equipment and technologies providing passengers with high service, and maintenance staff with comfortable conditions for efficient work had ranked among the priority tasks.

Bidding farewell to those greeting the Turkmen leader, the President of Turkmenistan left the International airport in Turkmenbashi town and headed to his residence.
