The “Avaza” National Tourist Zone hosted a large -scale exhibition organized as part of the first trilateral summit of the heads of Turkmenistan, the Republic of Azerbaijan, and the Republic of Türkiye, which was attended by many guests, including the spouses of the Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of the Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan and the heads of Azerbaijan and Türkiye.

The exposition presented works of decorative-applied art and fine carpets, which are universal values created by the skilled hands of talented Turkmen girls and women.

Carpets, traditionally containing from 350000 to 1000000 knots per square meter, are the result of hard work of skilled craftswomen. The exhibits include a unique carpet woven from clean wool and having 1355000 knots per square meter.

The patterns and ornaments of Turkmen carpets create a unique harmony of colors. Silk carpets A made a huge impression on the guests.

The tour continued in the exhibition section “The Embroidery Art”. The inclusion of the national embroidery of the Turkmen people in the UNESCO’s Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity is another confirmation of its great importance for world culture. In the center of the section is a beautiful patterned kurte, created by Ogulabat Eje, who continues national traditions coming from time immemorial. The patterns embroidered by the Ogulabat Eje are a model for the young generation of needlewomen. Ancient art, connecting centuries and generations, develops in accordance with the spirit of time.

The art of the Turkmen people, their craftspeople, became famous throughout the world. Unique national products and jewelry were admired at all times.

A large number of young people engaged in jewelry today testify to the continuity of traditions of the national art.

Today, like all around the whole world, great state-level attention is paid in our country to the development of fine art, the education and training of talented youth, and excellent conditions are created for making new artworks.

The guests of honor at the exhibitions with great enthusiasm watched the works, in which the lifestyle of the Turkmen people, their everyday work and happy life were brightly reflected.

It should be noted that the art embodiment of the wedding customs and rituals of our people are displayed at cultural events held on significant occasions in the country.

The guests emphasized the importance of national values and kind customs that date back to the remote past. Special attention in artworks is paid to the topics of educating generations and the patriotism. Lofty principles, centuries-old folk traditions are enriched according to the spirit of time and embodied in various forms of art creativity, performances of folklore and dance groups.

It should be noted that national arts created by the Turkmen people are notable for their versatility. A large place in them is occupied by the carpet weaving art. The Turkmen craftswomen embodied in their carpets the unique color of the native nature and the beauty of the legendary horses. Using natural dyes, they managed to obtain threads of a wide variety of colors, from which they made products of exceptional beauty that evoke admiration. Inspired works, created by the hands of women, are worthy of imitation.

Historical monuments, modern architectural attractions, the beautiful nature of the foothills are featured in bright colors on carpets.

Performances of folklore groups added special fascination and joy to the event.

Visitors were given the opportunity to watch how young women and girls, the keepers of the centuries-old traditions of Turkmen craftswomen, create new pieces of needlework. A carpet maker addressed the guests with a request to complete the work with the finished carpet, cutting the last knots.

Having expressed their appreciation for the trust, the guests of honor took scissors, and cut the last knots of the finished carpet to the stormy applause.

Then, national costumes made in a modern style were shown. It is noteworthy that one of the girls, participating in the show, and a young man, working in this profession, were going to marry that day, which had symbolically coincided with the current significant event, having become a double holiday for the newlyweds. The fabrics of various colors, special embroidery, and the design of the outfits did not leave indifferent any of the exhibition visitors.
