In particular, the head of the State Service of Maritime and River Transportation of Turkmenistan reported on a regular replenishment of the technical park and the progress of works on modernization of the Turkmenbashi seaport presenting the projects on development of the maritime and river transportation, modernization and reconstruction of the port infrastructure.
President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov focused on the necessity to accelerate the ongoing works on reconstruction and modernization of the sea port in Turkmenbashi.
In this context, the President of Turkmenistan instructed the relevant officials to prepare and submit the proposals for the technical re-equipment of the main sea harbors of the country and the national merchant fleet for consideration to the Cabinet of Ministers.
Commenting on the report presented by Chairman of the Committee for the Avaza National Tourist Zone E. Patjanov on the measures taken to create the necessary conditions for good rest of people in this largest in the country tourist area, the President of Turkmenistan noted that cinemas, various park amusements, and other cultural and entertainment centers, sales outlets, as well as various sports facilities should be built in Avaza so that the people could have interesting and useful holidays.
Summing up the working trip to Balkan Velayat, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov once again underlined the particular importance of the project on creation of the world-class resort in the littoral city aimed at ensuring the efficient use of abundant natural resources, transit, transport and tourist potential of the country that would promote the further diversification of the national economy and development of mutually beneficial international cooperation in various spheres.
