A new performance by the Batken Regional Music and Drama Theatre named after Appaz Zhainakov tells about the life and work of the great Turkmen poet and philosopher Magtymguly Fragi.
The theatrical production was initiated by the General Secretary of the International Organization of Turkic Culture Sultanbay Rayev on the occasion of the approaching 300th anniversary of the classic of Turkmen literature.
Remind, at the suggestion of Turkmenistan, the International Organization of Turkic Culture (TURKSOY) declared 2024 the Year of the great poet and philosopher of the Turkic world - Magtymguly Fragi.
The first viewers warmly accepted the new work of the well-known director in Turkmenistan Urmatkan Melayeva. She also acted as the artistic designer of the performance, which caused a special resonance among connoisseurs of the culture of the East and classical oriental poetry.
The International Theatre Festival is scheduled to be held in Turkmenistan in November 2023. As expected, Kyrgyzstan will be presented at the festival site by the Batken Regional Music and Drama Theatre named after Appaz Zhainakov with the play «Fragi».
