The festival of music of Turkmen composers opened in the Great Hall of the Turkmen National Conservatory named after Mai Kuliyeva. At the opening ceremony, Rector of the Conservatory Rasul Amangeldyev congratulated those present on this creative event and presented the Certificates of Honor to outstanding composers for active participation in the festival.
One of the features of the festival is full democracy. The academic sound of Turkmen music classics peacefully coexisted with contemporary musical directions. It is enough to emphasize, that the young composer Ogulgerek Grigoryants opened the festival program. The Piano Play was played in the author’s performance - a work that allows one to think about something very serious.
«Once» - this is the name of the work of Aina Shirova. This word usually begins fairy tales or narratives about some interesting story. And the musical phrases of Aina Shirova adjust that this melody is an overture to some other work. «Once» is a quintet of musicians: Oktai Najafov (bass clarinet), Ahmat Abayev (oboe), Ilkhan Ataev (clarinet), Sokhbet Ergeshov (flute), Rakhat Chariyev (bassoon).
Students from the 1st to 5th year and teachers of the Conservatory, as well as the Special Music Boarding School named after Mai Kuliyeva took part in the voice acting of works by Nury Khalmamedov, Veli Mukhadov, Danatar Ovezov, Recep Allayarov, Rejep Rejepov, as well as contemporary composers. This was a good experience for students, who are entrusted with the responsibility to represent works of Turkmen music by coryphaeus. And they did their job.
Two arias from the opera «Shasenem and Garip» of Danatar Ovezov and Adriana Shaposhnikova were performed by People’s Artists of Turkmenistan Atajan Berdyev and Atageldy Garyagdiyev. In their singing and artistic presentation was felt the spirit of the time of the creation of this opera.
Musicians of the group «Camerata Ashgabat», choir and chamber orchestra of the conservatory participated in the festival. The concert program will continue on the next day of the festival.
