99 graduate students of 7 secondary music institutions of our country (from Ashgabat and 5 provinces, as well as the Special Music Boarding School of the TNC) have taken part in the creative competition among pianists, vocalists, dutarists, bakhshi, conductors, music teachers and other specialties.

The competition was held in two rounds for three days at the Turkmen National Conservatory named after Mai Kuliyeva. The first round was a qualifying round and the second one was decisive.

This competition is held every year and the interest in it is only growing, because each victory of the contestant raises the prestige of his school and teacher. But that’s not all. The contest is attractive because the winner’s diploma gives the contestant additional bonuses for admission to the conservatory.

This year, 25 students were recognized as winners, of whom 9 received the first place. Among the winners was Taimazbaba Shamuradov, a graduate of the Turkmen State Music School named after Danatar Ovezov, studying the clarinet class. Ovezgeldy Gutlyev, a student of the Music School of Balkan Velayat, won the dutar class; in conducting class - Selbi Aimyradova from the Music School of Lebap Velayat; by vocals - Nepes Yagshygeldiyev from the Music School of Mary Velayat, on the xylophone -Shakir Shovkatov from the Music School of Dashoguz Velayat; on the bakshi class - Meylis Murzayev from the Music School of Akhal Velayat; Ogulniyaz Rahmanova - on class of piano of Special Music Boarding School at TNC and others.
