The Magtymguly National Music and Drama Theater will host the show of an unusual performance, that combines art, science and modern digital technologies, on May, 31 and June, 1 at 19:00.

Spectators will be able to get acquainted with a new direction in dance art and discover a contemplative, metaphysical dance.

The multidisciplinary company K. Dance explores and develops the language of movements through the dialectical confrontation of the physical (experienced) and visual body (virtual). As a result of this, K. Dance company is engaged in art projects, combining dance and digital art. One of these projects will be presented on the Ashgabat stage.

The interactive choreographic performance “Myselves” is a kind of dialogue between the soloist and her numerous “Selves”, embodied in an autonomous and unpredictable visual and sound creature, that comes from her psyche and is interpreted with optical and body sensors fixed on the dancer’s body.

The presentation of the choreographic performance was organized by the Delegation of the European Union to Turkmenistan, the Ministry of Culture and the French Institute in Ashgabat. The cultural event is dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the EU and Turkmenistan.
