Days of Culture of Turkmenistan continue in Armenia

These days in Armenia, in accordance with interstate agreements, the Days of Culture of Turkmenistan are being held. A solid Turkmen delegation, which includes well-known figures of culture and art, historians and media representatives, demonstrate their skills, as well as get acquainted with the rich culture, ancient monuments and natural attractions of the country, which is also called an “open-air museum”.

What could be better for bringing peoples closer together than such events as "Days of Culture". This is a question that does not require an answer. And in today's conditions, when many ties and relations between representatives of different peoples have been broken, one of the best ways to restore them is contacts between creative intellectuals and masters of the arts.

The history of Turkmen-Armenian relations goes back to ancient times. For centuries, human and state relations have been established. That is why old acquaintances and friends meet at all current events held in Yerevan with joy and smiles. Everywhere, wherever the meetings were held, whether it was exhibitions or concerts, there were full houses and thunderous applause addressed to the people of Turkmenistan.

The organization of an exhibition in the Yerevan Museum named after Hovhannes Sharambeyan, dedicated to the history and achievements of the Turkmen people in modern times, its unique traditions and crafts, gave special significance to the events. The exhibited values and books and drawings published in different languages give a glimpse into the history of Turkmenistan and the level reached at the present time. Residents of Yerevan get acquainted with the national values of the Turkmen people through literature and magazines dedicated to the comprehensive development of the country. There are also works of applied and fine arts of the people. Among them are ancient national clothes, household items and much more. With great interest, Yerevan residents get acquainted with the works of Turkmen artists and photographers who tell about the history and harmonious development of present-day Turkmenistan.

An unprecedented stir was caused by the meeting of representatives of two specialized universities of Armenia and Turkmenistan at the Komitas Conservatory in Yerevan. Here, an exchange of opinions of professionals, a discussion of the prospects for cooperation between students and the teaching staff of universities took place. Then the musicians demonstrated to those gathered in the hall of the conservatory the mastery of a wide variety of instruments.

In parallel with these events, Turkmen cinematographers demonstrated the film “Istärin” for the Yerevan public, filmed in the association “Turkmenfilm” named after Oguz Khan in honor of the 300th anniversary of the great poet and thinker of the East Makhtumkuli Fragi.

The Days of Culture of Turkmenistan in the Republic of Armenia continue.
