The final round of the contest for an embodiment of the beauty of Ahalteke horses in the works of fine, decorative and applied arts was held.
Well-experienced carpet makers, jewellers, painters, sculptors from all over the country presented about 400 works for the contest. The best representatives of the renowned Ahalteke breed are depicted on picturesque canvases, carpet articles and tapestries, sculptures. The elegant jewelry made for Ahalteke horses from gold and silver and incrusted with precious and semiprecious stones were also presented for the contest.
The jury of the art contest including notable art and cultural workers and horse breeders and experts from France, the Russian Federation, Ukraine, Czech Republic, etc. selected ten picturesque canvases, ten sculptures, ten jewelry and five carpet articles for the final round.
The winners of the contest were announced during the final round held at the International Equestrian Complex. Among them are: People’s Painters of Turkmenistan – Ada Gutlyev (the best carpet) and Babageldi Ovganov (the best picture), Honoured Worker of Art of Turkmenistan, jeweler Myrat Sahedov and sculptor Artyknazar Meredov.
