The final exams have ended at the Turkmen State Institute of Culture. Behind the years of hard study, theses, and ahead is only practice and gaining professional experience.
This year, graduate students presented to the attention of their mentors a number of serious graduation performances staged based on the works of the authors of Turkmen, foreign and Russian classical literature.
On the stage of the Student theatre named after Mollanepes the passions of popular plays by Anton Chekhov, Alexander Ostrovsky, whose 200th anniversary was celebrated by the general public, Prosper Merimee and other eminent playwrights were seething.
Confirming the fact that the classics are relevant at all times, talented young men and women tried on the images of famous literary heroes. And novice directors tried to interpret classical works in the context of the established traditions of drama theatre.
Pirmammet Galandarov, a graduate of the director's department, worked with students on the play «Jubilee» by Anton Pavlovich Chekhov. Competent mentors helped him to stage the first big performance - the artistic director Charyyar Seyidov, as well as teachers in acting and stage movement.
«When choosing the material, I was guided by the semantic load that this or that literary work carries», –says Pirmammet Galandarov. - Having visited the performances of the Main Academic Drama theatre, where Chekhov's plays «The Bear» and «The Proposal» were just staged, I finally made my choice. In the student library, I found Anton Pavlovich's play «Jubilee» translated into Turkmen and began to think about my graduation performance.
The second-year students of the acting department were invited to the staging.
The guys tried very hard, everyone wanted to prove themselves. In common work, joint stage decisions were born. Since the performance is classical, the musical basis of the action was the compositions of Tchaikovsky and Mozart.
Also, fruitful work was carried out on the performance based on the play by Alexander Ostrovsky «Thunderstorm». This production was prepared by graduates of the acting department under the guidance of the People's Artist of Turkmenistan Ashyrmyrat Gurbanov.
Successful graduation performances got the opportunity to be repeatedly presented on the stage of the Student theatre named after Mollanepes. Soon, young specialists of the Turkmen State Institute of Culture will join the ranks of theatre workers.
