The Turkmen capital lives in the exciting rhythm of a big and bright holiday – the Week of Culture. The program of the fourth day of the creative action began with the media forum "Epoch and Journalism".

Today, the Center for Free Creativity has united public figures, representatives of the national media and the teaching staff of universities, students.

The main topic of the forum is the role of the media in international cooperation. The agenda includes issues that reveal the role of the national culture and art, the media in carrying out the policy of progressive reforms, popularizing the historical and cultural monuments of the country, bringing to future generations the richest heritage of the Turkmen people, preserving spiritual and moral traditions and family values.

The speakers have also touched upon the development of the main areas of tourism in Turkmenistan, the preservation of unique architectural objects, and the intensification of work on demonstrating the achievements of our Motherland over the years of independence on foreign TV channels.

In the afternoon, the Exhibition Hall of the State Academy of Arts has hosted a children's drawing contest among students of art schools of the country. The essence of this creative competition is to provide aspiring artists with a platform to reveal their abilities.

Through the paintings, the contest participants told about their happy childhood, traditions and culture of the Turkmen people. Their drawings filled the entire space of the gallery, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in the kind and warm atmosphere of a carefree childhood.

Some works are executed so skillfully that one might think it is the work of a master who has many years of experience behind him.

A number of works by young but very talented artists of Turkmenistan took part in various international competitions.

As part of the Week of Culture, the Oguzkhan Association "Türkmenfilm" presented a feature film "Istärin", dedicated to the 300th anniversary of Magtymguly Pyragy, the great poet and thinker of the East. The film was screened at the "Ashgabat " Cinema Center.

In the evening, the Great Saparmurat Turkmenbashi Main Academic Drama Theater of Turkmenistan became a meeting place for participants of the creative forum and guests. The "Gelin gelýär" performance, which took place here, aimed to widely disseminate knowledge of the culture and history of our people. The performance let the spectators feel the identity of Turkmen rites and, most importantly, feel the need to preserve the spiritual values and national traditions, an eternal source of strength and inspiration.

The regular day of the Week demonstrated the versatility of the national culture, determined the ways of further work on enriching and revealing the great potential of the rich heritage created by the Turkmen people in order to preserve, fully explore and pass it to future generations.

Concerts of masters of art and young performers, winners of various national creative competitions, popular music groups are held in all velayats of the country. Folk and modern songs are played, incendiary dances are performed.
