Developing the Turkmen-Turkish dialogue of cultures

The art exhibition “Turkey with the eyes of Turkmen painters” opened at the cultural center under the Embassy of the Turkish Republic in Turkmenistan.

Over 50 works by Turkmen painters, including K. Kurbanov, O. Mamedov, H. Churiev and A. Ashirgeldiev presented at the exhibition reflected the historical sights, picturesque landscapes of the city of Sakarya, Turkey rich in medieval architecture, and the monuments of the Ottoman Empire and Byzantine Empire.

Moreover, the exhibition showcased the works by Turkish painters that created a unique dialogue of the two national schools of painting possessing the closeness of the artistic traditions, and remarkable, deeply distinctive features.

The ceremony of opening of the exhibition brought together the representatives of the diplomatic missions, workers of culture and art of Turkmenistan, local citizens and guests to the Turkmen capital, as well as students – future painters and art critics. According to the organizers of the exhibition, the presentation of the works by Turkmen painters will be arranged in Sakarya, and the exhibits will be then gifted to local museums and galleries.
