The play "The Bride is coming..." with a prologue and epilogue from modern life

By the end of the theater season, the Main Academic Drama Theater pleased the audience with the premiere of the sharp comedy play "The Bride is coming...". This play was written by the famous poetess Tovshan Esenova in the 80s of the last century, so the creators of the play updated the play with a prologue in which grandma tells an incredible story at the train station, she witnessed this story, and an epilogue from modern life.

In general, the railway station is a unique place, where passengers hear amazing stories. It should be noted that Gulalek Akmyradova, an Honored Artist of Turkmenistan, a stage director, and Maksat Amangeldyev, an Honored Art Worker of Turkmenistan, a production designer, managed to convey the station atmosphere authentically. When boarding is announced, the passengers, along with their bags, suitcases and trunks, move at the speed of light from the platform to the carriage, and the story that the granny started is played out in person in the compartment.

Here is another piece of luck in the performance – a docked train car appears in front of the audience. The train started moving, and roadside bushes flashed behind the windows, creating the illusion of train movement.

And the story is as follows: two " retinues" of women accompany the two brides to the grooms' house. One of the brides, Ulker, a law student and karate athlete, is happy with the anticipation of meeting her groom, while the other, Jennet, is sad. Her relatives give her in marriage to her fiancé's arrangement, and she likes another guy - a future lawyer. After learning this, Ulker showed a group picture of students from her department, and Jennet found her boyfriend in the picture. Then the girls hatched a plan - to switch places. And how it came to life, readers can find out by watching the play "The Bride is coming...".

There is another surprise from the director. In the final scene, which takes place before entering the registry office, a third couple from the present is added to the two married couples – this is a kind of epilogue. The side door to the auditorium opens, and the bride and groom, surrounded by friends and family, a noisy, cheerful crowd, treating the audience with sweets along the way, walk along the podium to the stage. This is another difference of modernity – weddings have become magnificent, crowded, on a wide scale.

The main roles were played by: Grandma - Selbiniyaz Berdyeva, Ulker - Selbi Babylova, and Jennet - Mahym Nuryeva, a student of the State Institute of Culture. The students took part in the crowd work.

With its original intrigue and the successful presentation of a number of scenes, the performance will surely again, as 40 years ago, arouse the interest of the audience.
