President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov completed the official visit to the Republic of Belarus.
Within the framework of the visit the members of the governmental delegation of Turkmenistan held a number of meetings and talks with their Belarusian colleagues in Minsk. A working meeting of the Co-Chairmen of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Belarusian Commission on economic cooperation took place within the visit. The urgent issues of developing bilateral cooperation in the context of achieved agreements, as well as the prospects for increasing mutually beneficial partnership in priority spheres were discussed during the meetings.
The President of Turkmenistan laid a wreath to the Monument of Victory immortalizing the memory of heroes – soldiers and partisans who died in the battles against fascism, the heroic deed of the Belarusian people during the Great Patriotic War. The high-ranking officials and representatives of the local authorities of Minsk greeted the Turkmen leader there.

Then the President’s cortege headed to the Minsk-2 National airport, where the ceremony of bidding farewell to the leader of Turkmen state took place.
The Presidents of Turkmenistan and Belarus bade farwell to each other. Expressing great satisfaction with the outcomes of the top level talks, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Alexander Lukashenko confirmed the mutual intention of the countries to continue developing full-sale cooperation given the interests of the two friendly states and peoples.
