The final chord of the Days of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Russian Federation in Turkmenistan was a joint gala concert performed in the Palace of Mukams in the Turkmen capital. The guest of honour to the holiday was the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, who arrived in the Turkmen capital to take part in the festivities on occasion of the Turkmen Horse Day.
Over 200 representatives of the sphere of culture and art, science and education of Tatarstan, including renowned artistic groups of the Republic, heads of artistic unions, cultural and scientific centers, higher educational institutions, and journalists arrived in Ashgabat that promotes to establishing direct contacts, exchange of experience and activation of the artistic cooperation between the colleagues. The meetings at the Ministry of Culture, the Ministry of Education, the National Library of the National Cultural Center of Turkmenistan held within the framework of the forum have laid the foundation for establishing fruitful relations in the scientific, educational and cultural spheres.
The events taken place within the framework of the Days of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan familiarized the people of Ashgabat and guests to the Turkmen capital with a bright palette of art of the friendly people, their original traditions and customs, as well as the modern achievements of Tatarstan in the sphere of culture.
Thus, an exposition entitled “Kazan of the millennium” that showcased the articles of the decorative and applied art, souvenirs and photos was arranged at the Museum of Fine Arts of Turkmenistan. The head of a ceramic workshop in Kazan gave master classes within the framework of the exposition.
The film festival and meeting with the representatives of the Tatar cinematography took place during the cultural action. The films “Internal Tatarstan”, “Kuktau” (Heavenly mountain), the first full-length film in the XXI century in the Tatar language created by I. Yagafarov, “Eagles” by Ramil Tuhvatullin, etc. were demonstrated to the Turkmen audience.
The book exhibition “A book in the space of culture” and the meetings with famous Tatat writers were arranged at the National Library of the National Cultural Center. The richly illustrated books created by modern poets and writers of the Republic of Tatarstan were exhibited there.
The solemn ceremony of closing the creative forum took place at the Palace of Mukams of the National Cultural Center of Turkmenistan in the evening. The programme of the festive gala concert included the joint performances of Tatar and Turkmen artists.
