With the beginning of the new academic year, the Japanese University of Tsukuba launches Turkmen language courses for Japanese and foreign students.
Classes will be organized for students interested in learning the Turkmen language, literature, and culture of Turkmenistan. Masahiro Oku, a researcher at the University of Tsukuba, will conduct lectures for the course participants.
Last month, Masahiro Oku together with Jennet Rozykulyeva, a graduate of the Japanese Language Faculty of the D.Azadi Turkmen National Institute of World Languages, completed the preparation of a new textbook to help those wishing to master the Turkmen language. The publication entitled "Turkmen Phrasebook in Japanese" was prepared as part of a project to promote the Turkmen language in Japan.
As it is known, the Japanese University of Tsukuba closely cooperates with higher educational institutions of Turkmenistan. It should be noted that in the context of interuniversity cooperation and scientific exchange, in May and June of this year, professor of the Japanese university Toshinobu Usuyama and Masahiro Oku gave special lectures for students of the Faculty of Japanese Language of the D.Azadi Turkmen National Institute of World Languages on various topics, including comparison of Japanese and Turkmen languages. The classes were held within the framework of the Nippon Foundation Central Asia-Japan Human Resource Development Project (NipCA project).
Tsukuba University is located in the city of the same name in Japan, its history dates back about 130 years. The University conducts scientific research and trains specialists in fundamental sciences, technology, engineering, mathematics, medicine and related interdisciplinary fields.
