Entering the workshop of the Honored Artist of Turkmenistan Kamil Veliakhmedov, one is immediately surrounded by the picturesque landscapes of our sunny region. Kamil Veliakhmedov prefers delicate pastel colors, pink, blue, soft green colors. There is a lot of sun and light in his works, they seem to be filled with the breath of life. But the most important thing is that contemplating them, it seems that they exude happiness.

- The artist's path consists of searches and experiments, - says the artist, - and I started looking for my individual style while still studying at art school. To say that I found it would be wrong, because this process is endless.

Among the landscapes that occupy all the walls of the workshop, two easel works stand out – "Portrait of grandmother Jemal" and "Sons". The first painting is painted in the style of expressionism, enhancing the impression of the transience of human life. The second is in poster style, with a clear contour and minimalism of color. Each painting is interesting in itself, and testifies to the great potential of the master in these genres, but Kamil Nuryevich was attracted by the spring and autumn plein air, giving landscapes breathing freshness and joy.

"The globe is a blooming paradise among the gray lifeless planets surrounding it. And artists with their works are called upon to remind people of this more often," he says.

In the studio of Kamil Veliakhmedov, floral harmony reigns on the canvases "Mountain village", "Pomegranate Sumbar", "Corner of Ashgabat", "Autumn Bagir", "Garden", "3rd Park", "Muse" and many others. Spring and autumn are present in all these paintings, but there is no summer and winter.

- Summer will soon appear in the paintings, - the artist promised and added, - last Sunday I brought nine tempting sketches from the plein air. But I don't like winter.

Kamil Veliakhmedov actively participates in exhibitions of painting in our country and abroad. Thus, thanks to hiь, professionals and amateurs of painting in Russia, the USA, Great Britain, Iran, France, Sweden, Turkey, Tatarstan and China are familiar with the Turkmen nature and the artist’s unusual vision of it.
