The exhibition center of the Union of Artists hosted an extraordinary event, a gala exhibition of works by teachers of the Painting Department of the State Academy of Arts of Turkmenistan.

The teachers who teach students painting are entrusted with an important task, the development of pictorial art in our country depends on the solution of it. In order to teach others, it is necessary to be a great master in one’s field. And the gala exhibition of painting teachers is a kind of exam for the right to be a mentor to novice artists.

One hundred and twenty-five works, different in subject, genres and styles, appeared in front of the visitors, including artists, students of the Academy, art critics and art lovers. Naturally, the first thing that attracted everyone was large-sized paintings. One of them is the graphic work "Visiting Mecca" by Azat Muradov. Azat took an angle from above to present the picture, and numerous pilgrims turned into dark dots moving around the perimeter. Despite its monochrome nature, the picture impresses with its unusual scale. It can be interpreted in different ways, but first of all as the greatest human worship in front of a shrine.

Crossing the hall, it is impossible not to pay attention to the portraits of the elders, made in the style of ancient Dutch masters of painting. Massive elegant frames also match the painting. These are the works of Zakirjan Babayev, the author of two paintings "Meeting in the Mountains", located in the central part of the exhibition. The drama and sharpness nature of his works always attract the audience.

Polat Charyev is the author of the painting "Wonderful Bakhshi", in which a boy, who imagines himself to be Bakhshi, gives a concert in the barnyard to his friends: a foal and camels. There is so much kindness and humor in the picture that it is simply impossible to consider it without a smile.

Creative artist Begench Berkeliev presented an exposition of urban landscapes viewed through shrubs. Dark cherry, orange and green plants create a certain mood to the picture.

Atageldy Jumaniyazov performed the painting "The Girl and the Goat" in bright pure colors. Bright sunny colors involuntarily attract the attention of the audience.

Each work is the artist's own style, his original presentation of the plot, his vision of the world. Young artists have a lot to learn from such teachers. The exhibition of the teachers' paintings had an inspiring effect on the students of the Academy, awakening in them the desire to create with new energy.
