The team of the Dashoguz State Music and Drama theatre named after Nurmuhammet Andalyp began the next theatre season with a bright and rich repertoire. Local actors began it with one of the new works by director Guvanch Baymedov «Älemgoşarly tomus» based on the work of the same name by Ashyr Mamiliyev, dedicated to the motto of the year: «Happy youth with Arkadag Serdar». It seems that the choice for the beginning of the season of work, reflecting how young people develop important life positions and moral principles over the years, is far from accidental.

The theatre staff invariably pays great attention to the artistic quality of selected productions, their relevance, accessibility for performance, and considers one of the main tasks in their activities to contribute to the formation in people of a sense of patriotism and the development of an active life position.

This year, the audience will again be greeted with the play «Ygrar ataşy», which is based on legends from the book of Hero-Arkadag «Turkmenistan - the heart of the Great Silk Road». Staged last year by director Bekmyrat Hallyyev from a script by playwright Oremyrat Ovezov, the play aroused great interest among viewers. The main theme of the work is patriotism, a feeling of deep love, devotion to serving one’s Motherland, one’s people.

For young theatregoers in the new season, director Guvanch Baymedov is preparing a fairy tale «Jadyly söz», based on the work of the same name by playwright Aymammet Ishangulyyev, which is designed to promote the upbringing of children in the traditions of kindness, respect and love for their parents, awareness of their responsibility and their duty to society.

The Dashoguz theatre group strives to consistently expand its audience by staging performances of different genres and artistic design. Thus, during the season, viewers will again be able to watch the work of director Bekmyrat Hallyyev «Bag» based on the work of the same name by playwright Nurulla Abbashan, which tells about the realities of life and family values, and «Çynymy aýtsam» based on the work of the same name by playwright Aymammet Ishangulyyev, in the comedy genre exposing lies and glorifying strength truth.

The theatre also intends to continue other forms of work with the audience, such as popular humour evenings, and participate in various public holiday events.
