On October 14 and 15, the new city of Arkadag will host its first history International Film Festival "Arkadagyň säheri" (“Dawn of Arkadag”). To participate in a big event in the capital foreign guests and famous people began to arrive in Turkmenistan filmmakers.

One of the first to arrive in Ashgabat was a French theater actor and cinema Edouard Montout. Film lovers know him for his roles in films "Taxi", "Asterix and Obelix: Mission Cleopatra" and others working in cinema.

According to the artist, this is his first-time visiting Turkmenistan. For him great honor to attend the first international film festival of the city of Arkadag. As part of his visit, the actor plans to get acquainted with the culture and customs of our country.

Also expected to arrive are Edouard’s colleagues, the main performer roles in the film “Taxi” by French actor Sami Naceri and popular Turkish actor Burak Ozcivit, known for roles in the television series “The Magnificent Century”, “The King is a Bird” singing", "Black love".

Grand opening of the International Film Festival “Arkadagyň säheri” will begin traditionally with a walk along the red path of film and theater artists. Film festival program promises to be intense. During the film forum there will be a number of premiere shows, creative meetings will be held and presentations.

Among the planned events is a gala program short films produced by the Representative Office TRT in Turkmenistan.

Thus, on October 15, the capital’s Ashgabat cinema will host screenings of historical films “Koneurgench” and “Capital Merv: by traces of the great Seljuks." The sessions will begin at 15:00.

In addition, the film festival program will feature Turkish historical television series "Foundation: Osman", in which Burak Ozcivit plays the main role. Filming different seasons representatives of our country took part in the television series - Turkmen mixed style fighter Dovletdzhan Yagshimuradov, and also a native of Turkmenistan Gozel Rovshanova.
