Representatives of the Magtymguly Theater received awards International Theater Festival TURKSOY

The results of the 1st International Theater Festival were summed up in Baku TURKSOY, which was attended by Azerbaijani creative teams and guests from Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkey and Turkmenistan.

The National Festival was awarded a memorable diploma Music and Drama Theater named after Magtymguly, who represented our country with the play “Söýgi hem hasrat”.

In addition, for the talented embodiment of the stage image in the nomination “Best Actress” was awarded to a young actress Gulnabat Abdullaeva.

The performances were evaluated by a special panel of judges, formed from prominent representatives of theatrical art TURKSOY participating countries. Thus, the jury included People's Artist of Turkmenistan Gulyalek Akmuradova.

In addition to the creative show, one of the significant events festival was the 9th meeting of the Board of Directors state theaters of the TURKSOY member countries. According to the results event, a joint declaration was signed, touching on new opportunities for expanding cooperation, Turkic peoples in the field of theater.

It should be noted that the 10th meeting of the Council of State Heads theaters of the TURKSOY member countries will take place in the Turkmen city Anau, declared the “Cultural Capital of the Turkic World” at 2024.

Currently, Ashgabat and the city of Arkadag are preparing for holding the IV International Theater Festival “Theatrical art of the era of happiness”, which will take place from 14 to November 16.

It is expected that the creative forum will be attended by: representatives of the State Musical Drama Theater Theater of Azerbaijan, Drama Theater of Kazakhstan, Musical and Drama Theater of the Kyrgyz Republic, State Academic Theater of Tatarstan, State Youth Theater of Tajikistan and Musical and Drama Theater of Uzbekistan.
