A concert dedicated to the upcoming 300th anniversary of the birth of Magtymguly Pyragy, great Turkmen poet and thinker, took place in the Small Hall of the Turkmen National Conservatory named after M. Kulieva.

The concert was organized by students and faculty members of the Variety Art Department.

The prologue to the musical and poetic performance was a fragment from the opera "Magtymguly" by Julij Mejtus, presented in the form of a theatrical production. The aria of Magtymguly was brilliantly performed by Begench Moshiev,  Mengli’s aria by Arzygul Gylyjova.

The concert began with a romantic note, featuring works by the poet such as "Pukarayam," "Bu derdi," "Ýar ýüzünden," and others. Notably, the songs "Aýryldym" and "Otуr-turuşyň gorüp" were performed in the Uzbek language. The concert was conducted by Ramina Gadimi.

Undoubtedly, the highlight of the program was the song "My beloved," composed by Maysa Mammetjumaeva, the head of the Variety Art Department.

In the rendition of Dovran Shammyev, it sounded contemporary and light, almost ethereal.

It is worth mentioning that Dovran performed the song twice, as an encore, in Albuquerque, USA, where he recently represented Turkmen art with a group of singers and musicians.

The concert concluded with a performance by Atamyrat Baratov (tar), Aziz Pakhruddinov (daira), and Ismail Sabirov (accordion), who rendered the song “Yar yuzunden” to the music of Ovezgeldy Tekayev.

The rendition of Magtymguly’s works in three languages emphasized the international significance of the poet.

The audience warmly welcomed the performances of the students and teachers, who successfully conveyed their love for Magtymguly during the concert.
