President of Turkmenistan received Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Mr. Yerzhan Kh. Kazykhanov.
During the meeting, the Turkmen leader and his guest exchanged their views on a wide spectrum of the Turkmen-Kazakh partnership that is of traditionally friendly and long-term character. In this context, the President of Turkmenistan and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan focused on the wide prospects for further intensification and diversification of the trading and economic relations, and the possibilities for widening bilateral cooperation in strategic spheres, including energy and transport. The grandiose project on construction of the Turkmenistan-Uzbekistan-Kazakhstan-China gas pipeline, and the large-scale project on laying the North-South railway that will serve to widening mutually beneficial economic relations at the regional, and the continental level as well serve as a bright evidence of the successful cooperation between the two countries.
Defining humanitarian sphere as a priority sector of the Turkmen-Kazakh relations, the President of Turkmenistan and the head of the foreign-policy agency of Kazakhstan underlined the importance of widening the mutually beneficial contacts in this area.
In conclusion of the meeting, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan expressed belief in successful continuation of the fruitful intergovernmental dialogue based on the goodwill of the countries that meets the interests of the peoples and states.
