President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received Minister of Internal Affairs of Iran Mr. Mostafa Mohammad Najjar, who arrived in Ashgabat leading the delegation of the Islamic Republic of Iran to take part in the international conference on refugees in the Muslim word.

Dwelling upon a number of urgent issues of the regional and international policy, the Turkmen leader and his guest reaffirmed the adherence of the both countries to cooperation with the aim to ensure global peace, safety and stability, the struggle against threats and challenges of the modern time.

In conclusion of the meeting, the President of Turkmenistan and the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Iran expressed belief in that the relations between the two neighbouring countries built on the long-term basis, bounded with the ties of friendship and fraternity would further successfully develop for the benefit of the peoples of Turkmenistan and Iran, in the interest of wellbeing and progress of the whole region.

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Iran to Turkmenistan Seyed Mohammad Musa Hashemi Golpaegani attended the meeting.
