The repertoire of the Mollanepes Student Theater has been enriched with a new play called "Amanat giýew" ("Fake Groom" ("Hülleci")), based on the play by Turkish playwright Reshat Nuri Guntekin.

This comedy is well-known to Turkmen audiences through the performance of the A.S. Pushkin State Russian Drama Theater. However, Dovran Joraev, a third-year student at the Institute of Culture, decided to stage the play in his own way. And he succeeded. While in the reading and performance of the play by the Pushkin Theater, the main character of the incredible story of machinations and deceit was the fraudster Rukiya, brilliantly portrayed by Anastasia Balandina, in the student theater, the main character is the substitute groom, Parnak.

The play begins with Parnak, playing the tuiduk, entering the audience. While Parnak makes his way to the stage, a voice behind the scenes tells the unusual fate of this person. As soon as he was born, his father's house burned down. At the age of seven, Parnak went to school and broke his legs seven times. He became an adult, but no one would hire him. In despair, Parnak decided to drown himself to end his suffering. But then he meets a thief who offers him to rob Rukiya's house. Hiding behind the curtain, Parnak becomes a witness to a conspiracy against Melek.

The aspiring actors of the student theater had the task of conveying the mentality of the Turkish people, their culture and way of life. The task was complicated by the fact that "Fake Groom" ("Hülleci"), is a comedy-farce that should entertain the audience. Several times during the premiere of the play, the audience in the hall expressed their delight with enthusiastic applause for the actors' performance.

An interesting detail is that the stage design for the play was taken from the Pushkin Theater. This fact demonstrates the solidarity among theaters.

The play "Fake Groom" ("Hülleci"), is relevant for all times because there are always cunning and dishonest people who want to take advantage of someone's trust for their personal gain. But, as a rule, they end up punishing themselves. This is exactly what happened to Rukia's family living in a small Turkish town 150 years ago.
