A scientific seminar on the topic «Chemical science: innovative achievements, important tasks and international relations» was held at the Institute of Chemistry of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan. In addition to scientists from the Institute of Chemistry, the event was attended by representatives of the Technology Centre of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan and the University of Engineering and Technology named after Oguzhan.
In his opening speech, Director of the Institute of Chemistry, Candidate of Chemical Sciences Hallymyrat Atayev briefly described the role of modern science in the development of the country, emphasizing the importance of introducing innovative developments and advanced technologies, scientific achievements in various sectors of the national economy. He also noted that in the large-scale work to improve the efficiency of scientific activity, coordination of the efforts of various research structures and expanding international relations of Turkmen scientists plays an important role.
The scientists and specialists who spoke at the seminar touched upon a wide range of issues related to both the results of narrow applied work and broader scientific research. The first included presentations by employees of the Institute of Chemistry Leyla Taganova, who presented an improved method for extracting flavonoids from rose hips, and Jumageldi Hudayberenov, who spoke on the topic «Scientific basis for obtaining potassium sulfate from local raw materials».
In a broader context, reports were made by Ogulnur Jumayeva, a researcher at the Institute of Chemistry, on the effectiveness of various forms of scientific cooperation and Dayanch Arazov on the role of advanced international experience and modern technologies in the active development of the digital system in Turkmenistan.
Representatives of the University of Engineering and Technology named after Oguzhan and the Technology Centre of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan presented the results of their scientific research to the seminar participants. Their presentations covered the topics of using local raw materials and innovative technologies to obtain various products and chemicals, soil analysis and environmentally important organic fertilizers in growing orchards.
