Turkmenistan is preparing to host the international scientific conference "Ancient Anev Culture." Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan N. Amannepesov reported on the preparations for the scientific forum during the government meeting via video link.

As noted, an international scientific conference "Ancient Anev Culture" will be held on March 27 to commemorate the proclamation of the ancient city of Anev as the "Cultural Capital of the Turkic World" in 2024 by the member states of the International Organization of Turkic Culture (TURKSOY).

It is expected that renowned historians, archaeologists, orientalists, professors, young scholars and museum representatives from the United States of America, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Turkey, the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic and other foreign countries will participate in this international forum.

The participants of the conference will also take part in the celebrations and events organized in Anev of Ak Bugday etrap, Ahal velayat, in honor of the city of Anev being designated as the cultural capital of the Turkic world this year.

Having heard the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized that the history of our country goes back thousands of years. The head of state also underscored that Anev is the homeland of the ancient culture of Turkmen land.
