A festive concert dedicated to International Women’s Day took place on the stage of the National Music and Drama Theater named after Magtymguly.
The peculiarity of the current holiday performances is that dramatic theater actors change their roles to pop artists. This dramatic identification pleases both the audience and the actors themselves.
There are plenty of singing actors here; it is not without reason that the theater has the status of a musical drama theater. People’s Artist of Turkmenistan Nury Hudayguliev opened the concert program with the song “Smile”, and immediately presented the listeners a festive mood. The famous bass Tirkesh Metnazarov touchingly performed the song “My Daughters”.
The hosts of the concert, Nurguzel Gurbangeldyeva and Yhlas Islamov, making fun of each other, announced the audience’s favorite genre – humorous skits.
The girl, having spent a long time choosing a gift for her mother on March 8 in stores, got tired and went into a cafe.
“Tea, coffee?” – the waiter asks her.
“Kefir”, the girl unexpectedly ordered.
Thus a funny dialogue began that ended with amorousness. Yazbibi Sapargeldyeva played the girl, Oraz Orazov performed the waiter.
Yazbibi Sapargeldyeva played with Honored Artist of Turkmenistan Atamurat Ataev in another humoresque “We are Singers,” which also really caught fancy of the audience.
Two singers are performing a song on stage, and suddenly Yazbibi forgets her words. To the music of the song, she confesses this to her partner. Atamurat reprimands her to the beat of the melody. The altercation continued until the end of their performance, and the spectators seemed to have no idea about it. In fact, the audience in the hall, of course, understood the singers’ cunning move and laughed heartily at their tricks.
Young people also love holiday concerts because they have the opportunity to participate in the concert program together with the presenters, who temporarily turn into entertainers and organize karaoke on stage, as well as entertaining competitions involving spectators.
“Artists bring joy to the audience with festive concerts,” says Yazbibi Sapargeldyeva, “and for artists it is very important to win the sympathy of the public. For every holiday we prepare a new program. We compose reprises together, select songs and concert participants. This unites the creative team of our theater, and what is very important, the auditorium is full at such concerts.”
Taking this opportunity, on behalf of the staff of our theater, I congratulate all the women of Turkmenistan on March 8!
