The State Energy Institute of Turkmenistan will hold the III Open International Internet Olympiad on the discipline "Theoretical Mechanics" among students of higher educational institutions of Turkmenistan and abroad, organized by the university with the support of the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan and the Ministry of Energy of the country.

All students of Turkmen and foreign universities interested in subjects are invited to participate in the Olympiad, regardless of their specialization and year of study.

Registration of participants will last until April 25 on the official website of the Institute tdei.edu.tm in the Olympiad section.

The Olympiad will be held from May 6 to 11 in an online format in the form of individual and team competitions. The working languages are Turkmen, Russian, and English.

An individual round of the competition will be held on May 6. Up to 20 students from each university can take part in it. Participants

will be offered eight tasks in three sections of theoretical mechanics: "Statics", "Kinematics" and "Dynamics". It takes 4 hours to solve the tasks.

On May 7, team competitions will be held, in which, according to the rules, one or two teams consisting of five students from each participating university will perform. Teams will be given five tasks and 1 hour to solve them. The results of the team tour will be announced on this day.

From 8 to 10 May, the jury will check the works of the participants of the individual competitions.

On May 11, the final results of the individual competition will be announced, the winners will be awarded and the Olympiad will be closed.

Recall that last year, at the site of the II Open International Internet Olympiad in Theoretical Mechanics, more than 130 students from 16 universities of Turkmenistan and about 350 students from 59 universities from 16 countries of the world, including Russia, Belarus, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, demonstrated their knowledge and talents, China, Ecuador and other countries.

The Olympiad is organized to identify talented, gifted students, deepen their scientific knowledge and practical skills, increase the interest of young people in scientific activities, develop intellectual abilities using innovative technologies, strengthen international scientific and educational cooperation and friendly relations between students and teachers of universities around the world.

Among the main tasks of the Olympiad is also implementation of the action plan for the implementation of the Concept of development of the digital education system in Turkmenistan, the introduction of innovations in the field of education and the accession of domestic universities to the number of leading higher educational institutions of international level.
