A record-breaking score was set in the Turkmenistan-2024 championship among the top league clubs by the "Arkadag" football players, who defeated the "Ashgabat" team 8-1 in the 5th round match.

The events in this match, held in the Babarap gengeshlik of Gokdepe etrap of Ahal velayat, developed very rapidly. Vladimir Bayramov's team took the lead in the 5th minute and was already winning 7-0 by the 30th minute. The reigning champion and holder of the Turkmenistan Cup demonstrated remarkable quickness, scoring 3 goals in just three minutes - from the 20th to the 22nd minute!

The hosts managed to score one goal before halftime. Oraz Orazov did so in the 40th minute. In the second half, the guests scored their eighth goal against "Ashgabat", setting the final score. Altymyrat Annadurdyev (5th and 22nd minutes), Begench Akmammedov (12th and 20th minutes), and Arslanmyrat Amanov (21st and 58th minutes) each scored twice for "Arkadag," while Velmyrat Ballakov (28th minute) and Ilya Tamurkin (30th minute) scored one goal each.

This is already the fourth consecutive big victory of "Arkadag". Prior to this, the biggest score in the current national championship was recorded in a home match against Balkanabat's "Nebitchi," which ended with a 5-0 victory of "Arkadag".

After the match against "Ashgabat", "Arkadag" forward Altymyrat Annadurdyev, with 6 goals, solidified his lead in the top scorers' competition. His teammate Arslanmyrat Amanov, with 4 goals (1 from a penalty), holds second place. The third position is shared by Begench Akmammedov ("Arkadag"), Alibek Abdyrakhmanov, and Yazgylych Gurbanov (both from "Ahal"), each with 3 goals.

The 5th round of the Turkmenistan Football Championship will conclude on April 3 with the matches: "Kopetdag" - "Shagadam", "Energetik" - "Merv", and "Ahal" - "Altyn Asyr".
