Representatives of the Turkmen State University named after Magtymguly took part in the International Forum “Universities and the Future” and the Congress of the Eurasian Association universities, which took place at the Intellectual Center Fundamental Library of the Moscow State University named after M.V. Lomonosov.
The international forum brought together more than 100 representatives prestigious higher educational institutions of Russia, Belarus, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, China, Vietnam, Lebanon, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Ethiopia and other countries.
The event was attended by the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation V.N. Falkov, First Deputy Chairman State Duma Committee on Science and Higher Education V.V. Sipyagin, CIS Secretary General S.N. Lebedev, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation S.A. Ryabkov, Chairman of the Federal Agency Rossotrudnichestvo E.A. Primakov and other honored guests.
The rector of Moscow State University named after M.V. spoke at the meeting. Lomonosov, President of the Russian Union of Rectors and the Eurasian Association universities, RAS academician V.A. Sadovnichy, as well as heads and representatives of universities of the participating countries.
The speeches emphasized that the Eurasian Association universities has a global character and significance. Higher schools are an important and integral link in building developed state and society. They have a special place in training and education of youth. Modern universities act in as a driving force of development, being in the role of cultural and intellectual centers around the world. There was a special the importance of various organizations, associations uniting universities peace, and their joint activities for the development of international connections.
In particular, the role of the Eurasian Association was highly appreciated universities, which this year celebrates its 35th anniversary and unites more than 160 universities from 11 countries. In this regard the importance of further expanding interaction was noted members of the association.
In a speech by a representative of TSU named after Magtymguly - one of leading universities of Turkmenistan emphasized that under leadership of the Respected President and National Leader all opportunities and conditions have been created for the Turkmen people in the country to develop the intellectual potential of youth, creative and physical education of young citizens. Was the importance of reforms in the country’s education system was noted, cooperation with foreign universities and research centers, exchange of experience in the field of innovative technologies and digital education, development of cultural and humanitarian ties.
On the sidelines of the forum organized by the Eurasian Association universities, a number of bilateral and multilateral documents aimed at increasing the role of universities in enhancing international humanitarian cooperation.
Note that TSU named after Magtymguly is a member of the Eurasian Association of Universities since 1992. Within the framework of the "Agreement on cooperation between the Turkmen state Magtymguly University and Moscow State University named after M.V. Lomonosov" is held purposeful work in the field of science and education, expanding constructive and fruitful bilateral cooperation.
