Turkmenistan develops international cooperation to protect the marine environment

The Ministry of Environmental Protection of Turkmenistan signed a Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation to protect biodiversity and protect the environment and promote their conservation in the Caspian Sea with the Blue Marine Foundation (UK), an organization specializing in restoring ocean health and protecting marine life.

Taking a stand against overfishing, the Blue Marine Foundation works to create marine sanctuaries, restore vital habitats to protect vulnerable and endangered species, and develop sustainable fishing models. Such models are designed to prove that low-impact fisheries benefit marine life, local fishermen and communities. Through its work, the Blue Marine Foundation is committed to ensuring that the ocean can continue its vital role in stabilizing the Earth's climate, as it is the largest sink carbon. The organization's mission is to ensure that by 2030, at least 30 percent of the world's oceans are effectively protected, with the remaining 70 percent managed responsibly. The Blue Marine Foundation's vision is a healthy ocean forever for everyone.
