On the instructions of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Chairperson of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan A. Nurberdieva received credentials from Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Denmark Mr. Tom Risdal Jensen.
Speaking about the huge potential for enhancing mutually beneficial cooperation, the meeting participants exchanged their views on the key aspects of the intergovernmental cooperation. Underlining the significance of widening the frames of the economic cooperation, Mr. Tom Risdal Jensen stated that businessmen in Denmark demonstrated keen interest in the prospective Turkmen market. The fuel and energy sphere was mentioned as a priority field for establishing long-term bilateral partnership. The spheres of application of mutual interest can be the processing industry as well as the use of advanced experience of Danish companies in construction of desalination and water treatment plants. Emphasis was placed on the existing tremendous potential for developing energy saving technologies and using of alternative energy sources.
The meeting participants discussed the issues of enhancing cooperation in the humanitarian sphere, including strengthening scientific, technological and cultural contacts.
