The concert of artists of the Republic of Korea dedicated to the 20th anniversary of establishing the diplomatic relations between the two countries took place at the Palace of Mukams.
The big delegation led by the Director of the Cultural and Informative Center of the Republic of Korea arrived in the Turkmen capital to take part in the friendly action organized by the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan and the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Turkmenistan. The delegation includes the heads and members of the Association for Cultural Exchange between the Republic of Korea and the Central Asian countries, creative groups and artists.
The meeting with the Korean theater arts that is familiar to the people of Turkmenistan thanks to international folk and children’s festivals held in our country brought together a lot of spectators at the Palace of Mukams.
During the solemn ceremony of opening the concert, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea to Turkmenistan congratulated those present on the remarkable date in the history of mutual relations of the two countries and peoples, and underlined the high dynamics and efficiency of the bilateral cooperation possessing a huge potential in a wide spectrum of area, in particular such important sphere as humanitarian sector. The diplomat highly appreciated the personal contribution of the President of Turkmenistan in strengthening the ties of friendship and mutual understanding between the two peoples, and the Turkmen leader’s support to implementing the joint projects.
Underlining the interest of the Republic of Korea in enhancing the mutually beneficial partnership in the sphere of culture, science and education, the diplomat noted that Turkmenistan’s participation in the 2012-EXPO World Exposition in Yeosu, where the national cultural traditions of Turkmenistan have been presented along with the economic potential of our country, its successes achieved in protection of nature and preservation of sea resources, would contribute to it.
Highly appreciating the achievements of Turkmenistan addressing the cultural policy, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea to Turkmenistan expressed belief that the Turkmen-Korean bridge of culture built by joint efforts would promote the further enhancement of cooperation between the two friendly countries, and development of the humanitarian dialogue at the Eurasian continent.
The programme of the festive concert that harmoniously combined the Korean traditional and modern art, included performances of popular artistic groups that demonstrated the dance taekwondo and folk dances in modern arrangement and many other.
The bright colorful theatrical and musical performance of the masters of art of the Republic of Korea demonstrated the original choreographic and exotic folk compositions reflecting the characteristic features of the national culture of this country. The show combining the folk music and dances, popular rhythms and the elements of acrobatics, break dance and traditional martial arts embodies the unique peculiarity of the Korean art, its attracting power, energy and fascination.
According to the authors of this festive show named after a popular Korean folk song “Ariran”, it carries a deep philosophy based on the aspiration of the people of Korea for friendship and fraternity with the other peoples, for unity and harmony in the world. The Turkmen audience admired the bright palette of the unique culture of the Country of morning freshness, the talent and high level of mastership of artists awarded with a storm of applause and flowers.
