Govshut Akmyradov, a 3rd year student at the Faculty of Cyber-Physical Systems of the Oguz Han Engineering and Technology University of Turkmenistan, won 1st place at the XII General Physics Competition for Engineering Students "Ion I. Agarbiceanu", held in the capital of Romania.

The competition was held on May 18 by the Polytechnica University of Bucharest, where the Turkmen delegation consisting of professors, teachers and students of the Oguz Han Engineering and Technology University of Turkmenistan was on a working visit.

The prestigious international competition was attended by students of leading specialized universities from eight countries of the world. The competition consisted of 2 directions - classical and modern physics, which included theoretical and practical tours.

Govshut Akmyradov's victory was brought by participation in the competition in modern physics. In general, Turkmen students performed worthily in both directions of the intellectual review and showed high results at the competition. During the official awards ceremony, winners of the physics competition were awarded diplomas of the corresponding degrees and memorable gifts from the Polytechnica University of Bucharest.

From May 16 to 20, during the visit of the Turkmen delegation to one of the largest universities in Romania, the prospects for the development and strengthening of cooperation between the two universities were considered, joint events were planned with the aim of exchanging professional experience and conducting scientific research.

So, after the competition, the parties organized research work in the field of studying the interaction of liquid crystals and laser light with substances. Two teachers from the Faculty of Cyber-Physical Systems of the Oguz Han University and professors from the Faculty of Applied Sciences of the Romanian University are involved in scientific experiments. As planned by the partner universities, the joint event will last for two weeks.

Representatives of the universities mutually expressed confidence that bilateral cooperation will largely contribute to the development of priority areas of modern scientific research, activities in the field of developing new technologies and their application.
