The group of deputies of the Parliament of the State of Kuwait arrived in the Turkmen capital led by Mr. Valid Al Tabtabai was received at the Mejlis of Turkmenistan.
Within the framework of the meeting the guests were briefed on the key aspects of the state policy of Turkmenistan, as well as grandiose changes and priorities of the large-scale projects and programmes implemented in the country with the aim to ensure the further wellbeing and progress of the Turkmen society.
During the meeting the parties discussed the activities of the Parliaments of the two countries. In particular, the guests were briefed on the structure and law-making work of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan, its role and tasks set to the deputies in line with the democratic changes and legal reform taken place in our country.
Exchanging the views on the prospects of the efficient bilateral cooperation, the deputies of the Parliament of the State of Kuwait called for establishing direct inter-parliamentary ties that serve as important factor for strengthening the intergovernmental dialogue.
