President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan Yaqub Eyyubov, who arrived in the Turkmen capital to take part in the meeting of the Council of the CIS Heads of Government.
During the meeting the Turkmen leader and his guest discussed the priority aspects of the Turkmen-Azerbaijani cooperation, which potential provides the most favourable opportunities for fostering efficient partnership in the bilateral level as well as within the authoritative international organisations, including the CIS.
In this regard, the President of Turkmenistan and the First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan underlined the urgency of the international initiatives put forward by Turkmenistan, in particular establishment of the Interregional energy dialogue under the auspices of the United Nations Organisation with the aim to create an international and legal basis in order to ensure the reliable and stable transit of energy resources to the international markets.
