A series of seminars for English teachers to improve their professional skills has started in Turkmenistan. They are organized by the US Embassy in Turkmenistan jointly with the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan.

Over the course of several days, under the guidance of English language specialist Nancy Eccles, English teachers will master the intricacies of developing curricula and obtaining a TESOL certificate.

TESOL is a program for training English teachers using ESL methods. The certificate confirms the teacher's qualifications, equating their level of English proficiency to that of a native speaker. The course introduces communicative methods of teaching English as a foreign language.
