President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov receives Prime Minister of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan

President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov receives Prime Minister of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan Omurbek Babanov, who arrived in the Turkmen capital to take part in the meeting of the Council of the CIS Heads of Government.

During the meeting, the Turkmen leader and his guest underlined the necessity of creating the bilateral intergovernmental commission for cooperation and specified the prospects of its work noting that establishment of close working contacts at this level would allow defining the most important steps for the national economy of the both countries and implementing the plans in practice. The parties highlighted also the significance of fostering humanitarian relations between the two countries and peoples that had close historical and cultural traditions.

Within the framework of the meeting the key issues of cooperation in the CIS format and within the UN were discussed. Among the most important aspects of the multilateral partnership, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan defined the energy safety, development of the transit and transport communications in Eurasia, and ecological sphere, in particular solution of the problems on climate change.
