President of Turkmenistan receives Prime Minister of Ukraine Nikolai Azarov, who arrived in the Turkmen capital to take part in the meeting of the Council of the CIS Heads of Government.
The Prime Minister stated that Ukraine had paid significant attention to developing the large-scale cooperation with Turkmenistan noting that the visit of President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to Kiev in March had become a symbolic event in the history of the intergovernmental relations.
The fuel and energy sector, transport and communication sphere, where Turkmenistan put forward a number of initiatives were defined among the priority spheres of the bilateral cooperation.
Underlining the significance attached to cooperation between the CIS member states, Nikolai Azarov focused on the urgency of the events scheduled by Turkmenistan for this year within the framework of the presidency over the CIS, in particular in the sphere of energy safety, ecology, developing the transport sphere in the interest of all countries and peoples of the region.
