The festival of Japanese documentary and art films dedicated to the 20th anniversary of establishing the diplomatic relations between Turkmenistan and Japan has been arranged at the Watan Cinema and Concert Center in Ashgabat. The representatives of the diplomatic corps, international organisations, masters of culture and art, numerous local citizens, and journalists attended the ceremony of opening of the cultural event.

Addressing those present the Chargé D'affaires ad Interim of Japan in Turkmenistan noted that the film festival had become the first cultural event organized by the Japanese Embassy in Turkmenistan using the wide potential of the cinematography in the cultural diplomacy aimed at further developing the multi-aspect cooperation between Turkmenistan and Japan.
