On the 12th of October, a presentation of a collection of poems by Magtymguly Fragi translated into Armenian took place at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan. The event was attended by the President of the Republic of Armenia Vahagn Khachaturyan and members of the delegation of the friendly country, as well as some heads of the education sector, faculty and students of the university.

On this occasion, an exhibition was opened here, which presented works of national fine and decorative arts, as well as museum exhibits. The works of artists and sculptors made a great impression on the participants of the event.

Musical accompaniment gave the celebration a special flavour.

It should be noted that the International Forum «Interconnection of Times and Civilizations - the Basis of Peace and Development» held on the 11th of October under the chairmanship of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov became a historically significant event, the purpose of which was to widely popularize the works of Magtymguly Fragi.

Along with this, during the meeting of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov with the President of the Republic of Armenia Vahagn Khachaturyan, the head of the Turkmen state was presented with a collection of Fragi's poems translated into Armenian.

As the participants of the presentation noted, the creative heritage of Magtymguly occupies a special place in world literature. In his poetry, such principles as peace, brotherhood, goodness, humanism are proclaimed as universal values, serve as a bridge for the mutual enrichment of cultures and the establishment of friendly relations between peoples. The Turkmen land has given many great personalities who have made a great contribution to the treasury of world literature. Their creative legacy has not lost its value even today.

Magtymguly Fragi occupies a worthy place among the outstanding literary figures not only of the Turkmen people, but also of the world thanks to his philosophical teachings and poetic works. The work related to the comprehensive study of his creative heritage finds wide support from prestigious international organizations and in different countries. The translation of the poet's poems into Armenian is a vivid confirmation of this.

Currently, under the leadership of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and on the initiative of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, measures are being successfully implemented to study the literary heritage of Magtymguly on a scientific basis and popularize it in the world. The thoughts and ideas of the poet, reflected in his work, are of great importance for the moral education of youth. Fragi’s views on the future are the spiritual heritage of not only the Turkmen people, but also all of humanity. In the modern historical period, the significance of Magtymguly's poetic heritage has gone beyond national boundaries and has become an integral part of world literature, as was emphasized in the speeches of representatives of the Turkmen side.

In this way, the translation of the poems of the great classic poet of Turkmen literature into Armenian has become another step in strengthening cultural ties and friendship between the peoples of the two countries.
